Mr Dan Buettner
Dan Buettner has traveled the world with National Geographic and brought back the secrets to the world’s healthiest and happiest people.
One of these communities is Loma Linda, California. What do these people know that the rest of us do not know? Why are they still strong in their 80's and 90's? What is their obesity rate? What do they eat? What kinds of communities do they live in? What are their friendships like? What is their rate of mental deterioration compared with the population of the world at large?

Oprah devoted her entire show to Dan's Blue Zones book on unlocking the secrets to health and vitality. In January, her whole show was based on Dan’s book, Thrive: unlocking the secrets to happiness.
In 2009, Dan Buettner and his partner AARP applied principles of The Blue Zones to Albert Lea, Minnesota and successfully raised life expectancy and lowered health care costs by some 40%. Now he is setting up these communities all across the nation.
Writing in Newsweek, Harvard University’s Walter Willet called the results “stunning.”
His New York Times Sunday Magazine article, “The Island Where People Forget to Die” was the second most popular article of 2012.
